This symbol appears when the battery is low. The
thermometer can still be used, but when you see

MAINTENANCE
Clean thermometer sensor with a cotton swab
moistened with alcohol before and after each
usage. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
Do not submerge thermometer in water or any
other liquid because only the sensor is waterproof.
PRECAUTIONS
1. Use of this thermometer is for monitoring pur-
poses only and is not intended as a diagnostic
tool. Make sure that any unusual readings are
communicated to your physician. Under no
circumstances should you change your prescri-
bed medicine doses.
2. Do not drop or break the thermometer.
3. Keep out of reach of children.
4. Keep thermometer away from direct sunlight and
store well away from any source of heat in a
clean, dry location.
5. Do not submerge thermometer in water or any
other liquid because only the sensor is water-
proof.
6. MultiThermo Light is only meant for taking tem-
peratures in the ear, on the forehead and in
the room. Do not use for taking rectal, oral, or
axillary temperatures.
7. Do not touch the sensor lens with fingers.
8. Do not take temperature within 30 minutes of
eating, exercising, or taking a bath.
9. Wait one minute between each temperature
reading. Two readings right after each other can
give slightly different measurements. Should this
occur, use the average of the two.
