Instruction Manual Punching Tool
LS 60-L
Before starting to punch please make sure that all parts
involved in the punching process are not connected to
live circuits.
The LS 60-L is a hand held tool and it is not supposed to
be restrained in a vise. It is not allowed to use the tool in
a stationary application.
The tool is not designed for continued punching cycles.
After a sequence of approximately 40 consecutive and
completed punches you have to make a break of a quar-
ter of an hour to give the tool time to cool down.

Too intensive use can cause heat damages for
the tool

During the operation of electric engines sparks
can occur which might ignite highly infl ammab-
le or explosive liquids and materials
Attention
Electric-hydraulic punching tools should not be
operated in pouring rain or under water.

4.3 Mounting instructions

The Greenlee Gator is a hand held battery powered pun-
ching unit to punch holes in various different Materials
such as plastic,  bre glass, aluminium and steel.
The LS 60-L is designed to be used with the following
Greenlee accessories:
Standard punches, dies and draw studs
Slug-Buster punches, dies and draw studs
Slug-Splitter punches, dies and draw studs
Electronic Connector Panel Punches
Standard, Slug-Buster and Electronic Panel Punches
can punch holes through plastic,  breglass, aluminium
and steel; Slug-Splitter punches, dies and draw studs
are capable of punching through all of these materials
and stainless steel.
4.4 Service and maintenance instruction
For every day service the tool has to be cleaned and dried
after each use. The battery cartridge and the charging unit
have to be protected against humidity and dust.
Attention
Maintain power tools thoroughly. Check for
functionality or jamming of moving parts,
breakage of parts and any other condition that
may affect the power tools operation.
The electric-hydraulic unit is equipped with a controller
enabling the user to see when the next service is due by
 ashing for 20 sec. at the end of a working cycle. When
the next service is due after 10.000 cycles the unit must
be returned to an authorised service center (ASC). Failu-
re to observe this request results in loosing the Warranty.
Preventive maintenance serves your safety. Within the
determined use of the tool only the dies are permitted to
be changed by the customers.

Do not damage the seals of the tool

Have the power tool repaired by a qualifi ed ex-
pert or by a Klauke ASC before use.

4.5 Troubleshooting
a.) Constant  ashing/indicating of the red LED (pic 1.1).
see table 1. If the failure can not be solved through
the action recommended in table 1 return the tool to
the nearest service center (ASC).
b.) The tool loses oil.
Return the unit to the manufacturer. Do not open it
and damage the seal of the tool.

6. Putting out of operation/waste dis-
posal
This unit is subjected to the scope of the European WEEE
(2002/96/EG) and RoHS (2002/95/EEC) directives.

Battery cartridges must be specially disposed of accor-
ding to the EEC Battery Guideline.
Attention
Do not dispose of the unit in your residential
waste. Klauke has no legal obligation to take
care of their WEEE outside Germany unless the
product has been shipped and invoiced from
inside your country by Klauke. Please contact
your distributer to fi nd out more how to get your
tool recycled environmental friendly.
