Note: the display only switches on when
the tester is connected to the battery of
the vehicle or to the PC via the USB cable
supplied.

3.2 OPERATION AND USE

- Connect the red clamp (+) to the positive
pole of the battery and then the black
clamp (-) to the negative pole (Fig. B). The
display (Fig. A-1) switches on and the main
menu is displayed.
- Press the cursors

to confirm.

previous menu.

4.2 VEHICLE TESTING

4.2.1 Battery inside the vehicle
- Follow the instructions provided in
the display to eliminate surface charge
accumulated by the battery.
- Select the type of battery from the choices
available:
- STANDARD WET BATTERY (standard
battery).
- AGM FLAT PLATE BATTERY (AGM flat)
- AGM CYLINDRICAL PLATE BATTERY
(wound plates)
- GEL/VRLA BATTERY
- ENHANCED FLOODED BATTERY (EFB)
- Select the reference standard used by the
battery manufacturer: CCA, EN, IEC, DIN,
SAE, CA, MCA, BSI, JIS.
The standard abbreviation or the value CA
the (MCA) is usually found on the battery.
Press "Enter" to confirm.
- Set the CCA or CA value according to the
reference standard used by the battery
manufacturer:
- CCA: 100 ÷ 2000
- EN: 100 ÷ 2000
- IEC: 100 ÷ 1400
press - DIN: 100 ÷ 1400
- SAE: 100 ÷ 2000
- CA: 100 ÷ 2000
- MCA: 100 ÷ 2000
- BSI: 100 ÷ 2000
- JIS: 26A17 ÷ 245H2

The CCA value is declared in amps by the
manufacturer usually on the battery: e.g.
520A (EN).
CA = Cranking Amps or MCA (Marine
Cranking Amps) is the cranking amps
according to the standard of the "Battery
Council International".

Once the test is complete, the display will

the internal resistance, the CCA, the declared
