Stick the double-sided ahesive tape onto the installation side of the
holder. This serves as a seal and paint protection (see ✎ I 5).
Screw on the camera holder using the M 4 x 20 threaded screws or
longer threaded screws, depending on the thickness of the
construction.

Producing the opening / hole for the camera connection cable
Observe the information on cable laying from Page 44.
Use existing openings, if possible, such as e.g. ventilation grids, for
routing the camera connection cable. If there are no such
possibilities it will be necessary to drill a Ø 13 mm hole. Check
beforehand that there is sufficient space for the drill bit to emerge
on the other side.
Drill a Ø 13 mm hole near the camera (see ✎ I 7).
Deburr all holes made in the sheet metal and treat with rust proofing
agent.
Fit grommets to all sharp-edged holes.
Fastening the camera in the camera holder
Push the camera into the camera holder (see ✎ I 10) and align so
that the lens is at an angle of approx. 50° (see ✎ I 14) to the vertical
axis of the vehicle.
Fasten the camera (see ✎ I 9) loosely with the M 3 x 6 mm screws
(see ✎ I 11). The screws are tightened as soon as the camera has
been aligned with the aid of the monitor.
To minimise corrosion of the screws we recommend greasing the threads.

Fastening the camera cover to the camera
Never fit the camera without the additional camera cover. Only use
the M 3 x 8 mm screws for mounting the camera cover (see ✎ I 13).
Longer screws would damage the camera.
