Maintenance and troubleshooting
1. Ensure that the Orbital welding power source is switched on..
2. If necessary, dismantle the electrode (chap. 8.4, p. 65).
3. Move the rotor into the basic setting (0 position) (e.g. by pressing the key "END.-0-POS" in the control panel at the weld
head).
4. Dismantle the clamping cassette and clamping insert (chap. 8.5, p. 68and chap. 8.7, p. 73).
coarse cleaning:
5. Spray the rotor (1) with contact cleaner spray. Let the rotor circulate once by 360° after spraying on (press the Motor key).
6. Spray all the exterior and interior surfaces of the clamping cassette (2), swivel bracket (3) as well the clamping inserts (4) with
contact spray cleaner (see -Symbole unten).
7. Then remove coarse dirt from the rotor (1), weld head interior (5) as well as the complete clamping cassette and clamping
insert by using a nylon brush.
8. Vacuuming of the carbon-like deposits by using a compressed-air vacuum unit or vacuum cleaner.
Fine cleaning:
9. Circumferentially spray the rotor (1), welt head interior (5) as well as the complete clamping cassette and the clamping insert
again with the contact cleaner (in particular the 2 front surfaces of the rotor).
10. Fine cleaning of all treated surfaces with a lint-free cotton cloth.
11. Vacuuming of the carbon-like deposits by using a compressed-air vacuum unit or vacuum cleaner.
12. Subsequently wipe off both rotor end surfaces with a lint-free cotton cloth. Apply the cloth only at a complete standstill of the
rotor.
If necessary, repeat work steps 5 to 12 (coarse / fine cleaning).
Then let the cleaning agent evaporate.
ATTENTION!
13. Remount the clamping cassette and clamping insert.

Never spray lubricant into the weld head!
The use of lubricants can severely influence the function and cause damages.
