Spilt fuel can cause damage to plastic
parts. Wipe up spilt fuel immediately. The
warranty does not cover damage to plas-
tic parts caused by spilt fuel
CAUTION!
Fill the engine with oil before starting.
Filling with oil
(2)
The max. oil capacity of the engine is 1.2
litres. Top up the oil slowly in small quan-
tities, checking the filling level constantly
to ensure that the "MAX" mark on the dip-
stick is not exceeded.
Do not fill the engine with oil to above the
"MAX" mark. An excessively high oil le-
vel can result in:
Smoke in the exhaust fumes
Soiling of the spark plug or air filter
1. Unscrew the oil dipstick (2-1) and pour in the
oil
2. Screw in the oil dipstick again
Oil recommendations
The engine oil is a crucial factor for the perfor-
mance and service life of the engine. Use an en-
gine oil that satisfies the demands for API service
class SF or higher (or equivalent).
Check the API service label on the oil canister to
ensure that it contains the letters SF or those of a
higher class (or equivalent).

SAE 10W-30 is recommended for general use.
The recommended operating temperature range
for this engine is 0°C to 40°C.
The use of oil SAE 30 at temperatures
below +5°C can lead to engine damage
due to insufficient lubrication.
Checking the oil level
(2)
Check the oil level with the engine stopped and in
a horizontal position.
Clean the oil filler area of any foreign matter.
1. Unscrew the oil dipstick (2-1) and wipe clean
2. Insert the oil dipstick (2-1) into the oil filler
neck until the cap touches the neck (do not
tighten) and then pull out again
3. If the oil level is near or below the lower limit
mark on the dipstick (2-2), top up with the re-
commended oil up to the upper limit mark
4. Screw in the oil dipstick again
A low engine oil level can lead to engine
damage.
Filling with petrol
