The installation alcove
The appliance can be installed in a tall cup-
board or underneath a work surface. The
minimum installation height is 85 cm.The

Connection
Depending on the installation alcove, the ap-
pliance must be connected before or after
installation.
WARNING
Risk of electric shock / fire hazard!
Touching live parts may result in severe
injury or death.
■ Since all poles of the appliance can-
not be disconnected from the mains
via an accessible disconnecting de-
vice, an all-pole disconnecting device
in accordance with overvoltage cat-

Start-up
egory III must be connected within
the house installation with at least
3 mm contact clearance; consult a
specialist if necessary (see „Service"
on page EN-37).

Connect the appliance only to a profes-
sionally installed earthed socket with suffi-
cient fuse protection (230 V~/50 Hz/10 A).
Connection requirements
•
To connect your new appliance to the
electricity supply, you will need a pro-
fessionally installed earthed socket with
adequate fuse protection (see „Technical
specifications" on page EN-40).
•
The connection voltage of the appliance
must correspond to the mains voltage in
your home (see rating plate on the back
of the appliance).
•
The plug socket must be located away
from the back of the microwave, other-
wise the plug will touch the back panel
and the microwave will not push all the
way in.
•
Do not use multiplugs or extension ca-
bles!
Connecting/using the
appliance
1. Connect the mains plug to the socket.
A beep will sound and the display will
show (1)
(see „Setting the time" on
0: 0 0
page EN-18).
2. Make sure that the fixing screw (35) in the
upper part of the unit is screwed in.
3. Push the unit into the installation compart-
ment until the fixing screw is inserted.
