Positioning of wall sleeve
NOTICE
Installation position, internal wall: Once
the plaster has been applied or wallpaper
put up etc., the wall sleeve must end flush
with the internal wall. Installation position,
external wall: Wall sleeve must protrude be-
yond the exterior plaster after this plaster has
been applied. Observe the following wall
sleeve projections towards the external
wall. The projection is needed as a drip edge
within the external cover.

Installation of wall sleeve
NOTICE
Unit damage and damage to brickwork cau-
sed by condensate in the event of incorrect
mounting where condensate runs towards
the internal wall if the core hole is drilled at
too slight an incline. Mount wall sleeve with
an incline of 1...2 % to the external wall so that
any condensation which collects can drain out-
wards. Observe the wall sleeve projection
towards the external wall !

! WARNING
Risk of injury if a wall sleeve or external/
internal cover come loose. Only mount on
walls with sufficient load-bearing capacity.
The wall sleeve must be firmly plastered in.
1. Determine installation location(s). Observe
installation dimensions and minimum
spacing to the wall and ceiling. Fit empty
ducting/cable feedthrough.
2. Drill core hole. Observe inclines of 1 to 2 %
towards the external wall.
Recommendation: Drill

160 wall sleeve with polystyrene

shims to an incline of 1 to 2 %.
3. Shorten wall sleeve. Observe the wall
sleeve projection towards the external
wall ! Specifications for internal and exter-
nal wall fully plastered.
4. Deburr wall sleeve on both sides.
5. Place wall sleeve in core hole such that it
protrudes beyond the external wall.
Observe the wall sleeve projection
towards the external wall !
6. Close off wall sleeve on both sides with
plaster protective covers provided.
7. For a
162 core hole, fix the wall sleeve

with construction adhesive in the core hole.
8. For a
182 core hole, align wall sleeve
Ø
and fix on inside and outside with shims
provided.
! CAUTION
Exercise caution when handling
construction foam.
 Wear protective gloves.
 Wear goggles.
9. For a
182 core hole, fix the wall sleeve
Ø
and shim with non-compressing or zero-
expansion construction foam. Cut off pro-
truding construction foam and shims flush
with the wall.
10. If walls have a wooden construction, addi-
tionally seal the interfaces to this construc-
tion. Stick sealing strips to the wall sleeve
in these areas. Suitable sealing material is
to be supplied by the customer.
