b) Connecting additional devices
Connecting external devices
• Use the LINE OUT (10) socket if you need to connect an amplifier or loudspeakers. Connect the LINE OUT (10)
socket. with the audio input of the external device.
• If the pin on the external device does not fit you can use an appropriate adapter.
When an external device is connected, the volume of this device is controlled via its own volume control
function. You can still control the volume of the internet radio using the volume control on the internet radio
itself.
Connecting headphones
• If you need to connect headphones, use the headphone socket (11).
• The speaker will automatically switch off and the music will only play through the headphones.
c) Inserting/changing the batteries in the remote control
Before you can use the device, you have to insert batteries. To do this, proceed as follows:
• Open the battery compartment on the back side of the remote control.
• Insert two AAA batteries into the battery compartment. Observe the correct polarity (pay attention to plus/+ and
minus/-). This is marked in the battery compartment.
• Replace the battery compartment lid.
If the transmission range of the remote control decreases or the remote control no longer functions, the
batteries must be exchanged as described above.
10. Operation
a) First time use
When fist switching the device on, or if you have restored it to factory settings, the following notifications
will appear in the display (4). The start-up process takes a few seconds.
