9. Connection

a) Electric Connection
The mains socket to which the mains adapter is connected must be close to the device
and easily accessible to quickly separate the mains adapter from the mains voltage in
case of an error.
Ensure that the voltage indication on the mains adapter matches the mains voltage of
your power supply. Never try to operate the mains adapter with any other voltage.
Be careful when handling mains adapters and mains connections. Mains voltage may
cause potentially fatal electric shock.
Make sure that no cables lie around openly. Install cables professionally to prevent
accidents.
• Connect the low-voltage plug of the mains adapter to the DC IN connection (18).
• Plug the mains adapter into a wall socket.

b) Connection of additional devices

Connection to an external audio source
• If necessary, you can use the connection AUX IN (16) to connect an audio device the output
signal of which is when played back via the speaker integrated in your radio.
• Connect the audio output of the external device to the AUX IN connection (16).
• If the external device's plug does not fit, you can use a matching adapter.
• Switch on the external device and start playback. You need to switch the radio to mode
"AUX IN" before playback.
Connection of Headphones
• You can connect headphones to the headphones connection
• The integrated speaker of the radio is then turned off and playback takes place via the
headphones.
USB connection
The USB connection (15) serves service purposes only. Do not connect anything here.
