Utilisation

Decoupling the trailer

Loosen the safety strap and wrap it around the tow bar. Fix the safety strap to the tow bar

using the clamping buckle.
Remove the cotter pin from the coupling and pull the tow bar head out of the coupling.
»
Reinsert the cotter pin into the coupling head and lock it in place.
»
Stow the tow bar in the ready position as described in the chapter Mounting the tow bar on
»
page 16.

Adjusting the 2-in-1 canopy

The 2-in-1 canopy is comprised of an insect net and a weather canopy:
The inner part of the 2-in-1 canopy must be closed during every journey because the integral
»
insect net provides protection against insects and small stones.
The outer skin of the 2-in-1 canopy is comprised of a durable transparent sheet and can
»
be rolled up. It provides protection against splash water and strong winds, and dissipates
exhaust gases out of the cabin.
Opening the weather canopy:
Roll up the window foil and secure the roll at the top
»
with the two toggle fasteners.
Closing the weather canopy:
» Open the top toggle fasteners and unroll the window
foil over the insect net.
Close the cover and its corresponding Velcro and
»
magnetic fasteners.
Danger!
Never ride with the cover open. As a minimum, the insect net must be closed in
order to provide protection against stones. In bad weather or heavy traffic, also
close the window foil.

Using the ventilation windows

The purpose of the ventilation window on the back of
the Speedkid is to improve the exchange of air in the
cabin.
Opening the ventilation window:
Roll up the cover and lock it with the top Velcro
»
fastener.

Closing the ventilation window:
Release the top Velcro fastener to release the cover.

Close the cover with the bottom Velcro fastener.

Using the panorama roof

The panoramic roof is equipped with a sun visor and a ventilation window, which can be opened
as needed and stored in the designated bag or closed with a zipper.
To open, unzip the sun shield and slide it into the
»
pocket in front of it.
To close, pull the sun shield out of the bag and close it
»
again with the zipper.

Adjusting the suspension

The leaf springs of the
Speedkid
Danger!
Open the ventilation window on hot days or in heavy traffic in order to dissipate
warm air and exhaust fumes out of the cabin more quickly.
Speedkid are adjustable by simply moving the clamps.
Caution!
Make sure that the resilience is suitable for the current load each time you drive.
If you hear strokes while driving over bumps, then the suspension is set too softly.
Immediately adjust the setting by moving the clamp towards the wheel axle.
Danger!
Always set the same values on both leaf springs; different spring travels can
negatively influence the driving behaviour.
