Mounting the push handle

The push handle is height adjustable and can be used to push, pull and manoeuvre your Speedkid.
When folded, the push handle offers rollover protection and continues to function as a head
protector.
Prepare the push handle by fully unfolding it. To do

this, keep the light push buttons pressed on both
sides, see„Adjusting the push handle" on page 57.
Position yourself behind the upright cabin.
»
Loosen the two star grip screws at the bottom end of
»
the push handle to enable the tube clamps to be easily
pushed onto the tubes of the cabin frame.
Insert the star grip screws through the two cut-outs in
»
the hood.
Hold the push handle with both star grip screws
»
against the tubes of the upper cabin frame.
Put the tube clamps one after the other in turn onto
»
the cabin frame tubes by applying gentle pressure.
Secure them by partly tightening the star grip screws.
Align the push handle horizontally by pushing the tube
»
clamps all the way up at the same height.
Securely tighten the star grip screws in order to fix the
»
tube clamps to the cabin frame.
Danger!
Make sure that the push handle is also mounted in trailer mode each time you
drive as shown in the table (see „Setting the mode" on page 57), only then is the
cabin equipped with an additional roll bar and head protectors.

Tightening the backrest and cover

The stable backrest is an important safety element. Like the cabin's fabric cover, it is fixed under
the cabin floor by harnesses. These harnesses must always be tightened in order to provide a
secure hold.
Tilt back the cabin and place it on its reverse side.

This makes the lower cabin frame accessible for
assembly.
Tighten the two harnesses that run in the direction of
»
travel so that the backrest is fixed.

Assembly

Inserting the pennant

Connect the two parts of the pennant pole using the

orange middle piece.
Fit the pennant on the left outside of the Speedkid:

– Guide the pennant staff through the loop at the
– Insert the end of the pennant staff into the
» Unroll the pennant so that it can fly clearly visible on
the pennant staff.

Optional assembly steps

Installing the buggy wheel

You need the buggy wheel for Buggy and Walker mode. The buggy wheel is connected directly with
the wheel suspension attached to the frame and is mounted so that it can rotate through 360 °.
Lift the cabin at the front.

» Place the buggy wheel into the wheel mount as far as
it will go, until it engages audibly with a clicking noise.
Check whether there is sufficient air in the buggy
»
wheel (maximum air pressure: 1.9 bar). If necessary,
use an air pump for car valves to top up with air.

Adjusting the buggy wheel

» Set with the release button (unlock key)

the desired operating mode:
– Buggy mode: Buggy wheel rotatable through 360 °.
– Walker mode: Buggy wheel running straight.
– Trailer mode: unfasten and pull out the buggy
Speedkid
Danger!
The pennant must always be mounted in Trailer mode. Otherwise the very low
Speedkid is too easily not seen by other road users.
For safety reasons, we recommend putting the pennant into the pennant pouch so
that it is easily visible before every journey, including in Buggy or Walker mode.
