WMF espresso maker
impresses with its high-quality materials and workmanship.
The modern, sophisticated design makes it very special.
The WMF espresso maker is made of Cromargan®: stainless steel 18/10, easy to
clean and hard-wearing. The inner surfaces are sandblasted, not coated.
It is suitable for gas, electric, glass ceramic and induction hobs.
Information for induction hobs
Please note the following. Induction is a very rapid heat source. Never heat the
espresso maker when empty as it can be damaged by overheating. Cooking at high
temperatures may produce a humming noise. This noise occurs for technical rea-
sons and does not indicate that your hob or cookware are faulty.
Information for gas hobs
Make sure the gas flames do not rise up the side of the espresso maker.

Operating information

Unscrew the espresso maker by holding the upper and lower parts and turning
then anti-clockwise. Take out the funnel insert.
In the upper part there is a scale indicating the amount of water for preparing
3 or 6 cups. This allows you to easily dose the required amount of water.
Fill the lower part with the measured amount of water.
Place the funnel insert on the lower part of the espresso maker. If you are only
preparing 3 cups, place the reduction sieve in the funnel insert as well.
Now fill the funnel insert with coffee powder, without pressing it down.
Screw the upper and lower part back together and make sure there is no coffee
powder in the thread. Heat the espresso maker on the hob.
(Please note the information on the different hob types).
When the water boils, the espresso rises into the top part as the steam develops
and it makes a bubbling noise. Once the espresso has run through completely, im-
mediately remove the espresso maker from the hob. Serve in pre-warmed espresso
cups and enjoy.
