5 Troubleshooting

Problem
Tool is sluggish.
Chip can only be cut off with
difficulty.
Tool does not switch on.
5.1 Replace carbon brushes
If the carbon brushes are worn, the
motor stops.
Have carbon brushes checked by a tech-

nician and replaced.
4.2 Alternative rechargeable
C 160

used with all CAS LIHD 12 V and CAS LI-Ion
12 V rechargeable batteries.
C 200

used with all CAS LIHD 18 V and CAS LI-Ion
18 V rechargeable batteries up to a capacity
of 8 Ah.
Cause
Cut guides are worn.
Cut guides have broken-out
edges.
Blades are dull.
Chip clipper/cutter plate is dull
or set incorrectly.
Rechargeable battery is empty
or defective.
Power cable is defective.
Carbon brushes are worn.
5.2 Replace the power cable
placed by the manufacturer or its contract
workshops to prevent safety hazards.
