2.2 Noise and vibration emissions
WARNING
Hearing damage if noise emission
value is exceeded
Wear hearing protection.

WARNING
Danger of injury if vibration emis-
sion value is exceeded
Select tools correctly and change
u
promptly in case of wear.
Specify additional safety measures to
u
protect the operator against the effect
of vibrations (e.g. keep hands warm,
organization of work processes, pro-
cessing with normal feed force).
Depending on the conditions of use and con-
dition of the power tool, the actual load can
be higher or lower than the specified mea-
surement.
The specified vibration emission value was
measured according to a standardized test
process and can be used to compare power
tools. It can also be used for a preliminary
estimation of the vibration load.
Times when the machine is switched off or is
running, but not actually in use, can signifi-
cantly reduce the vibration load during the
entire working period.

3 Operation
Property damage due to twisting of
the power tool
Cut curves at a low feed rate.
u
Do not fall below the power tool's mini-
u
mum radius.
Only apply the power tool to the work-
u
piece once it has reached full speed.
u
If the cutting line ends within the work-
piece: run the power tool backwards at
full speed for a few millimeters.
Only switch the power tool off when the
u
cutting process is finished.
To operate the power tool, see:
– Switching on and off
– Setting the speed
– Separating chips
– Checking charge
– Changing rechargeable battery

accessories
4.1 Blade and cut guide selection
The blades have 2 cutting edges. These
cannot be reground.
Depending on the thickness or density of the
workpiece, different types of blades are
needed.
With improper blade selection, the following
may happen:
– The cut quality is greatly impaired.
– The feed force increases significantly.
– The blade breaks.
– The chip deforms unfavorably.
For gentle work and good cutting perfor-
mance, make sure that the blades and cut
guides are sharp, and that they are changed
promptly.
When cutting radii, the following must be
heeded:
– Do not twist the machine.
– Work only at a low feed rate.
