Dishwasher detergents, rinse aids and dishwasher salts
1. Turn the catch of the rinse aid dispenser (22)
a quarter turn in an anticlockwise direction
and remove it.
2. Fill the water tank to the "max" mark in the
opening. The adjacent inspection window
turns black.
3. Wipe away any rinse aid that has spilt im-
mediately so that you don't compromise
the rinsing results and to avoid increased
foaming.
4. Insert the catch of the rinse aid dis-
penser (22) and give it a quarter turn
clockwise. The markings on the lid and
the rinse aid dispenser (22) must be
aligned upon insertion.

Changing the rinse aid dose

To select the dose, you must remove the
catch from the rinse aid dispenser (22) (see
„Adding rinse aid" on page EN-14).
We recommend that you do not change the
dose that was set by the factory initially.
If the dishes are
– dull and stained, you should increase the
dose by turning the arrow on the rinse aid
dispenser to a higher value.
– sticky and smeared, you should decrease
the dose by turning the arrow on the rinse
aid dispenser to a lower value.

Adding dishwasher salt

Dishwasher salt is a special salt designed to
reduce water hardness. This helps prevent
limescale deposits in the appliance and on
dishes.
NOTICE
Risk of damage to property!
You may damage the dishwasher, its
surface, its seals and fi lters by using
dishwasher salt in an improper manner.
■ Only use dishwasher salt that is suita-
ble for dishwashers.
■ Always wipe away spilt dishwasher
salt immediately with a damp cloth.
■ Immediately after adding the dish-
washer salt, start a dishwashing pro-
gramme.
