only be filled to half of its capacity.
Otherwise the food may reach the safety
valve or the pressure regulator, making them
dirty and affecting their function.
• For all other dishes the
base should only be
filled 2/3 full to avoid
making the safety valve
and
the
pressure
regulator dirty.
6. Fill the base with at least 1/4 of the base
volume water or stock.
7. Put the lid 1 on the base 9,
so that the indentations in
the lid and the base handle
8 fit together.
8. Turn the lid so that the lid handle 5 and the
base handle 8 lie directly above one another
and you hear them lock into place.

6.2 Cooking

1. Choose your desired
setting on the pressure
regulator 3:
I: Steam cooking
II: Fast cooking
Please note: Steam cooking uses 0.6 bar
(600 hPa) and fast cooking uses 1.1 bar
(1000 hPa) pressure.
2. Place the pressure cooker on a hob which is a
similar size to the base of the pressure cooker.
Caution!
The
should not be bigger
than the base of the
pressure
cooker.
Otherwise this could
lead to too much heat rising up the sides of the
base, thereby damaging the plastic handles.

hob
3. Turn the hob onto the highest setting.
As soon as there is pressure in the base, the
red safety valve 2 will move upwards
thereby locking the lid.
Please note: At the beginning of the
cooking time, a little steam may emerge from
the safety vent.
4. As soon as steam starts to come out of the
pressure regulator 3, lower the temperature
of the hob to around 1/3 so that only a small
amount of steam comes out.
This is when the "cooking time" starts.
Please note: When there is hardly any
steam coming out, the pressure cooker is
cooking the food quickly and saving energy.

6.3 Steam cooking

The gentlest way to prepare food, especially
vegetables, is by using the steam cooking setting.
When food is cooked using this method it only
comes into contact with hot steam and not with
the liquid water. This prevents minerals, vitamins
and other important elements in the food from
being lost during cooking.
Steam cooked vegetables also have a more
intensive taste than when they are cooked using
the normal method.
Please note: The stand 11 and the steam
insert 10 do not come with the appliance. Even if
you do not own these accessories, you can still
steam cook. Simply place the food to be steamed
in the pot and add 1/4 of the base volume water.
1. Put the stand 11 into the base 8.
2. Fill the base with water, but do not entirely
cover the stand.
3. Put the food in the steam insert 10.
4. Put the steam insert on the stand.
5. Continue with cooking as explained in
"6.2 Cooking" on page 23.
