Switch the unit on / off
Flashing LED = battery has to be charged

POWER SUPPLY

NIMH BATTERY PACK
If the LED (3) next to the ON/OFF switch is flashing the batteries have to be charged. Connect the char-
ger with the socket and the power supply system. The operating lamp at the charger indicates:
RED = batteries are being charged.
GREEN = batteries are fully charged.
Recommended charging time: 10 hours.
The charger can be used as power supply, too.
4 x C Alkaline batteries
FL 210A can be used with Alkaline batteries alternatively. Open the battery compartment cover (2).
Remove the NiMH battery pack. Insert 4 x C Alkaline batteries and ensure correct polarity.
HORIZONTAL USE
Set up the laser on a flat smooth surface or mount it onto tripod head.
Release the compensator clamp by turning the compensator lock (5) in anti-clockwise direction to
„ON".
Note: Without releasing the compensator lock the automatic levelling function will not start.
In horizontal direction the laser will level automatically within a range of ± 3,5°. The laser head starts
rotating and the POWER and SCAN LEDs will show a permanent red light. An audible signal indicates
if the instrument was set up outside of the compensator range of +/- 3,5 °. Set up the instrument on a
more even surface.
When the measuring job is finished switch the unit off and set the compensator clamp to „OFF".
