Always remove the battery before carrying out any work on the power tool.

maintenance and service work described in this
user manual. All other repairs must be carried
out by a servicing dealer.

technical information.
When repairing the machine, only use replace‐
ment parts which have been approved by STIHL
for this power tool or are technically identical.
Remedy
at temperatures of approx.
15°C to 20 C (59°F to 68°F)
Remove the battery from the
power tool and reinsert it.
Switch on the power tool – if the
LEDs still flash, the battery is
faulty and must be replaced
Let the power tool cool off
Remove the battery from the
power tool and reinsert it.
Switch the power tool on – if the
LEDs still flash, the power tool
has a malfunction and must be
checked by a servicing dealer
Let the power tool/battery dry
Remove battery from the power
tool, let battery and power tool
cool off
Remove battery and reinsert it
Charging the battery

Carefully clean guides
Let the battery cool down / let
the battery warm up gradually
at temperatures of approx.
15°C to 20 C (59°F to 68°F)
Operate the charger only in a
closed, dry space at ambient
temperatures of +5°C to
+40°C (41°F to 104°F)
Remove battery and reinsert it
Remove the battery from the
power tool and reinsert it.
Switch on the power tool – if the
LEDs still flash, the battery is
faulty and must be replaced
