Mattress replacement system
The Pentaflex
®
Plus 2-way mattress replacement system is a support system designed for the
bed range formally known as the Contoura 1000. The Pentaflex Plus 2-way mattress replacement
design comprises a high resilience polyurethane foam with a 2 way stretch, water resistant,
vapour permeable cover.
Note: The Pentaflex Plus mattress replacement is not recommended for Patients/Users
who are below 250 kg (551 lb / 39 stones) in weight. Maximum Safe Working Load (SWL) is
450 kg (992 lb / 70 stones).

Mattress replacement side covers
The mattress replacement side covers
are designed to complement the mattress
replacement system. The side covers
comprise a high resilience polyurethane foam
with a 2-way stretch, water-resistant, vapour
permeable cover.

Clinical applications

Indications for Use
The Pentaflex Plus 2-way mattress
replacement system mattress is an aid to the
prevention of pressure ulcers.
Note: These are guidelines only and should
not replace clinical experience or judgment.
If there is no improvement in the patient's
condition, specialist advice should be sought.
WARNING
The cover of this product is vapour permeable but
not air permeable and may present a suffocation
risk. It is the responsibility of the care giver to
ensure that the user can use this product safely.

Instructions for Use
Mattress replacement system:
1. Remove all packaging.

ensuring that there are no sharp edges
which might rip the cover. Ensure that
the contoured side of the mattress is
uppermost.
3.
Ensure the correct month is showing
on the Turntable
TM
of the cover. If the incorrect month is
showing, rotate the mattress to show
correct month at the foot end. Months are
indicated as follows:
1/12 = January
2/12 = February, etc.
