Mattress replacement side covers:

1. Remove all packaging.
Ensure bed side supports are extended

and in the upright closed position.
3. With the storage pocket facing outwards,
slip the cover over the side support.
4. Repeat for the opposite side.
Note: If the side supports are to be used in the
open position, proceed as follows.
5. Remove the additional support piece from
the storage pocket.
6. Position the support piece in the gap
created by opening the side support.
Bring the support piece over the top of
the side support and locate between
the mattress and side support to form a
continuation of the mattress.
7. To return the side supports to the upright
(closed) position, reverse Steps 5 and 6.
Do not use the mattress without a cover. It provides
a protective barrier against biological contamination
of the foam.

Decontamination

Note: The side covers are a finished assembly
and must not be machine washed.
To Clean the Cover
Wipe all exposed surfaces with a cloth which
has been moistened in simple detergent and
water. Ensure to remove any organic debris
that may be adherent to the surfaces. Dry
thoroughly.
To Disinfect the Cover
For disinfection we recommend a chlorine-
releasing agent such as NaOCI or NaDCC
diluted to 1,000 ppm (range may vary
between 250 & 10,000 ppm depending on
contamination status and local policy).
Wipe with a cloth moistened with clean water
and dry thoroughly.
Alternatively, use a cloth moistened with
alcohol (70%) all allow to air dry.
Routine checks
The foam core and cover should be inspected
regularly for any signs of damage, soiling or
staining.
