Troubleshooting

7.1 General errors

Symptom/message
Liquid drips out of
the pipette.
Aspiration capacity
reduced
Pipette loose.
Bubble formation in
the pipette during
liquid aspiration.
Rechargeable
battery will not
charge
No functional period
despite fully
charged battery.
Shortened useful life
and frequent loading
necessary.
Battery housing is

Cause
• Pipette adapter and/or
membrane filter
inserted incorrectly.
• Pipette not inserted
far enough.
• Pipette adapter
damaged.
• Pipette damaged.
• Seal damaged.
• Liquid column
too high.
• Speed too low.
• Membrane filter
wetted.
• Pipette adapter
damaged.
• Speed too high.
• Rechargeable battery is
charged.
• Battery is older than
3 years.
• Battery capacity is greatly
reduced.
• Battery is older than
3 years.
• Battery is older than
3 years.
Remedy
› Remove the pipette adapter
and membrane filter and
reinsert them.
› Continue to carefully insert
the pipette.
› Replace pipette adapter.
› Replace pipette.
› Replace seal.
› Slowly press the aspirating
button down further.
› Replace membrane filter.
› Replace pipette adapter
› Apply less pressure to
the aspirating button.
› Disconnect the Power supply.
› Only recharge the battery if
the status display is blinking.
› Replace battery.
› Replace battery.
