Assembly
Loading the Magazine (see figures A1–A2)
Use only original Bosch accessories. The precision
u
parts of the tacker, such as the magazine, striker and shot
duct, are matched to Bosch staples and nails. Other man-
ufacturers use different steel grades and sizes.
The viewing window of the refill indicator (11) indicates
whether there are any remaining staples or nails in the
magazine.
– Turn the power tool around.
– Press the magazine release (8) and pull the magazine (9)
out of the back of the tool at the same time.
– Insert the staple strip (14) or nail strip (15).
When inserting the nail strip (15), hold the tacker slightly
at an angle so that the nails lie flat on the side wall. Note
the marking.
– Slide the magazine (9) back in until it clicks into place.
Do not use force when opening, loading or closing the

magazine.
Operation
Starting Operation
The trigger lock, which is connected to the movable tacker
head (1), prevents the unintended release of a staple when
the trigger (2) is pressed accidentally.
Switching On and Off (Single Actuation)
– First, firmly place the tacker head (1) against the work-
piece until it is fully pushed in.
– Maintain the contact pressure and press the trigger (2).
– Once the staple has been completely driven in, release
the trigger (2) and lift the tacker head (1) from the work-
piece.
Switching On and Off (Contact Actuation)
– Press and hold the trigger (2) to work more quickly.
Press the tacker head (1) firmly onto the workpiece until
the staple is released. Move the tacker to the next posi-
tion and press the tacker head (1) firmly onto the work-
piece once more.
Preselecting the Impact Force
Note: Always test the selected impact force on a spare piece
of material first. The optimal impact force setting can only be
achieved through practice.
The figures in the table below are recommended values.
Various settings for the required impact force can be
preselected with the thumbwheel (4) for impact force
preselection.
When doing this, comply with the mark for preselection of
impact force (3) on the power tool.

The impact force required depends on the length of the
staples or nails and the strength of the material.

Practical Advice
19 mm staples cannot be used with this power tool.

Therefore you should not use the power tool to attach
ceiling panels with claws for fastening wooden pro-
files or joints.
Avoid pulling the trigger when the magazine is empty to min-
imise wear on the firing pin.
When work is complete, set the impact force on the thumb-
wheel for impact force preselection (4) to relieve strain on
the tension spring.
Carefully set the tacker head (1) down on the material. Soft
workpieces (e.g. pine wood) could be damaged if you press
down too hard.
The power tool is designed for short-term use with a max-
imum operation time of 10 minutes of constant use. It heats
up in continuous operation. Performance reduces as the
temperature increases.
Switch the power tool off after a maximum of 10 minutes op-
erating time and allow it to cool down.
Removing Jammed Staples
Remove the battery from the power tool before carry-

ing out any work on the power tool.
– Turn the power tool around.
– Press the magazine release (8) and pull the magazine (9)
out of the back of the tool at the same time.
– Remove the jammed staple. Use a pair of pliers for this, if
required.
– Slide the magazine (9) back in until it clicks into place.
Fill the magazine in good time. A staple strip that is too

short may be the cause of jammed staples.
Accessories for tacking paper and for tacking at
equal distances
With a specific accessory, the power tool can be used for
tacking paper and for tacking at equal distances from the
