WATER CONNECTIONS

Make the connections to the pipes of the sys-
tem so that they:
• Do not burden the unit with their weight;
• Permit the maintenance operations of
the unit;
• Are compatible with the operating pres-
sures and temperatures of the boiler;
• Provide access and removal of any acces-
sories.

5.5. CONNECTION OF THE CONDENSATE
DISCHARGE
The condensate that forms during heat pump opera-
tion flows through the discharge tube that passes in-
side the insulating housing and emerges at the rear
of the machine, with a 1/2" threaded connection.

The drainage pipe should have a drain-tap to prevent
the condensate water from stagnating. If the instal-
lation is not made correctly, the warranty will not be
considered valid.
The following is recommended for correct
commissioning:
• Disconnect the boiler from the system
before performing electrical welding;
• Flushing the system thoroughly before
connecting the boiler hydraulically;
• Install a safety valve and an expansion
tank of adequate capacity. The installa-
tion of the boiler must foresee an over-
pressure device connected to the cold
water pipe that must have a maximum
calibration equal to the maximum oper-
ating pressure indicated in the technical

• Check the hardness of the water, which
must not be below 12° F. With particu-
larly hard water, the use of a water sof-
tener is recommend so that the residual
hardness does not exceed 30° F;
• The installation of a thermostatic mixing
valve should be provided on the hot wa-
ter outlet, to prevent the risk of burns
