8. Safety instructions for Ex operation

Additional operating instruction:
(To be read in conjunction with the general safety
instructions in Section 1.1)

Battery operation:

Only 9V zinc-carbon batteries according to IEC 6F22 can be
used! The battery must only be changed outside of the
hazardous area!
Mains operation:
The mains adapter described in the user manual is not available for the
CPH 6200 - Ex series.
Pressure sensor:
Only CPT 62I0-sensors can be used! Using any other sensors may result in
damage to both sensor and device. Please only use original WIKA
connecting cable, provided specifically for connecting the CPT 62I0 to the
CPH 6200-Ex digital instrument. The same applies to the extension cable,
which may be used to a maximum permissible length of 5m.
Alarm function:
The audible alarm described in the user manual is not available for these
devices. There is therefore no difference between the two settings Alarm
"on" and Alarm "no.So."
Serial Interface:
Only the serial interface converter available from WIKA should be used for
this application.
The serial interface must not be used within an Ex Protection-
Zone.
Ex-Zone usage:
The instrument must be in its accompanying leather case if it
is to be used within an Ex-Zone!

Temperature range:

The permissible ambient temperature range is 0 °C ... +50 °C.
The instrument must not be used below 0 °C.
Additional Ex-safety instructions:
Please adhere to the operating instructions and also the
relevant local regulations regarding the use of electrical
equipment for hazardous areas (e.g. VDE 0165).
