The unit must be maintained regularly. We therefore
recommend that you have a maintenance agreement
with your dealer.
1. pH - probe
The probes are tested using the two pH 4 and pH 7
buffer solutions included in the scope of delivery. If
the deviations are too large, the electrode has to be
recalibrated as described in section 3.9. If the cali-
bration fails or the deviations are too large, the elec-
trode must be replaced.
2. Rx - Probe
The Redox probe has to be checked regularly using
the Rx 475 mV buffer solution. If the deviation of
the measured value from the setpoint of 475 mV is
too big (40mV) the electrode must be replaced.
Caution: Rx probes are given their final calibra-
tion in the factory.
3. Hose pump
Warning: The rotor can jam your fingers as it
turns! Before working on the pump switch the
pump off!
Caution: Do not touch the motor directly after it
has been running! Let the motor cool down
first!
Protect yourself against the chemicals used!
Depressurize the system!
The pump must be inspected ca every 6 months as
follows:
 Visual inspection of the unit
 Check pump hose for leaks
 Check hose connections for leaks
Change the pump hose ca once a year, as it is a
spare part. Proceed as follows:
 Disconnect the suction and return sides of
the pump from their hose connections.
 Loosen the fastening screw of the transpar-
ent cover and take it off.
 Take the suction-side hose connection (left)
out of its seat.
 Pull the dosing hose carefully out from un-
der the rollers: clockwise.
 Take the return-side hose connection (right)
out of its seat.
 Lay the new hose in both seats with both
hose connections. Ensure that the connec-
tions are laid with the rounded sides towards
the control unit.
 Switch the motor on briefly: the hose moves
into the correct position under the rollers.
 Place the transparent cover on the housing
and fasten it with the screw.
4. Injection valves
The injection valves must be inspected several times
a year for blockages and deposits. Remove those
blockages and deposits.
5. Inline sample strainer
This should be checked weekly to ensure that the
unit is clean and a good sample flow is present.
