Unscrew the screw 16 completely. Lift off the
base plate and set it back, so that the screw 16
with the holder 19 can be inserted in the front
notch 18 and screwed into the thread 17.
When tightening the screw 16, the base plate
must be pressed to the rear until it can be felt to
engage.
– The cutting angle can not be changed.
– The circle cutter/parallel guide 21 as well as
the splinter guard 20 cannot be used in this
case.
Splinter Guard (see figure
To avoid fraying of the surface, install the splinter
guard 20 by pressing it into the base plate 6.
The splinter guard cannot be used for certain saw
blade types (e. g., saw blades with set teeth).
Tips
For tight curves, it is best to use a narrow saw
blade.
When sawing metal or similar materials, apply
coolant/lubricant alongside the cutting line.

Plunge cutting (see figures
Plunge cuts may only be applied to soft mate-
rials, such as wood, aerated concrete, gyp-
sum plaster boards, etc.!
Place the machine with the front edge of the base
plate on to the workpiece and switch on. Firmly
hold the machine against the workpiece and by
tilting the machine, slowly plunge the saw blade
into the workpiece.
When the base plate fully lays on the surface,
continue sawing along the cutting line.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Before any work on the machine itself, remove
the battery.
For safe and proper working, always keep the
machine and the ventilation slots clean.
In order to avoid operational malfunctions, do
not saw gypsum board from below or over-
head.
To continuously ensure perfect operation of
the machine, the SDS saw blade holder is to
be cleaned regularly. This can be done, e. g.,
by gently striking any dust or debris from the
machine.
The guide roller 8 should occasionally be
checked for wear and lubricated with a drop of oil.
If it is worn, it must be replaced.

If the machine should fail despite the care taken
in manufacturing and testing procedures, repair
should be carried out by an after-sales service
centre for Bosch power tools.
In all correspondence and spare parts orders,
please always include the 10-digit order number
given on the nameplate of the machine.

Environmental Protection

Recycle raw materials instead of disposing as
waste.
The machine, accessories and packaging should
be sorted for environmental-friendly recycling.
