Commissioning

Table extension installation

1. Lower the sawhead and and lock it with the
retention pin in the down position.
2. Carefully turn the saw over and place it on a
suitable surface so that it is not damaged.
3. Attach table extension (34) with screws as
shown.

Work clamp installation

The workpiece clamp consists of a support arm
(35) and the clamp (depending on operating condi-
tions the clamp can be positioned for clamping from
the top (37) or from the side (38))
.

A
Caution!
The clamp (37) and (38) repsectively must
be positioned such that a workpiece is not
under tension (or else the workpiece can
jump off on completion of the cut or jam the
saw blade).
1. To position the workpiece calmp for top clamp-
ing, first fit the clamp to the support arm (35) –
the lug of the support arm must engage in the
corresponding bore hole of the clamp – then
tighten the support arm's thumb screw.
2. Place workpiece clamp into one of the holes
provided in the saw's base.
3. When positioning the clamp for top clamping
(37), secure support arm (35) with starknob
screw (36) on the saw's base.

Dust bag installation

A
Danger!
Dust of certain timber species (e.g. oak,
beech, and ash) can cause cancer when
inhaled:
- Work only with dust bag properly installed
or a dust collector connected (air speed at
the saw's dust spout ³ 20 m/s).
- Wear a dust mask in addition, as not all
saw dust is collected or extracted respec-
tively.
- Empty the dust bag regularly. Wear dust
mask when emptying.
· Put the dust bag onto the dust spout of the
mitre saw (ensure the dust bag's zipper is
closed).
· Else connect a dust collector or industrial vac-
uum with a suitable adapter to the saw's dust
spout.

Fixing the saw

A
Risk of personal injury by rocking or tilt-
ing saw!
For a safe operation the saw must be fixed to
a sturdy base.
· A permanently mounted work plate or a work
bench can serve as a base.
· The saw can also – for mobile application – be
screwed to a plywood or wood-core plywood
sheet (800 mm x 800 mm, at least 19 mm
thick). When in use this plywood sheet must
then be secured with G-cramps to a work
bench.
