Descaling the unit

Depending on the water hardness and frequency of use, the device must
be descaled regularly in order to function properly. We recommend
descaling after approx. 80 brews with soft water, and after approx. 40
brews with hard water.
Water tank:
1. Put a small quantity of descaling solution into the water tank.
2. Allow to take effect overnight.
3. Pour out the solution and rinse the water tank numerous times
with fresh water.
Unit:
1. Ensure that the unit has been switched off and that the power
plug has been pulled out.
2. Put descaling solution into the water tank above the MIN marking.
3. Insert the coffee holder without the filter and without coffee into
the unit.
4. Put a suitable container on the placement grille.
5. Connect the power plug to the power outlet.
6. Turn the unit on with the ON/OFF switch.
7. As soon as the operating display stays permanently lit up, press
the double espresso button. The descaling solution now flows
through the unit descaling the interior system. The function ends
automatically.
8. Now fill the milk tank with water and insert it back into the unit.
9. Direct the milk nozzle towards the cup.
10. Set the regulator as far to the right as possible for a large quantity
of milk/foam.
11. Now press the button for a large cappuccino for 3 seconds and let
the operation continue for at least 30 seconds.
12. Press the button for a large cappuccino again to end the
operation.
13. Repeat steps 5-13 with fresh tap water to rinse out the residual
descaling solution that is still present.
