• a 3/4" pipe from the machine connection (Fig.7-7) to
the drain (Fig.7-10) or to a condensation water recov-
ery system, if present.
For practicality and safety reasons, it is recommended
applying a shut-off valve, not supplied by us (fig. 7): 1.
switch; 2. socket; 3. plug; 4. water supply; 5. tap.
7. Apply on the machine drainage fitting the supplied
flexible tube with an inside diameter of 20 mm and of
a suitable length (not exceeding one meter from the
machine) to reach the drain trap
• If the supply water contains a lot of impurities, you
should install a filter on the water supply network up-
stream of the device. (Fig.7 - Ref.11)
• If the water is very hard, i.e. full of minerals and their
derivatives, you should install a suitable water softener
on the water supply to prevent limescale from forming
in the water circuit.
- In order to avoid that the ice absorbs unpleasant
odours and flavours, never keep in the bin food, bot-
tles and other similar things.
- During the normal operation, do not leave open the
door of the ice bin.
3.4 Connection to the electrical power
supply
!
We decline any liability for damages to
persons, animals or things resulting from failure
to ground the equipment and the performance of
an electrical system which is not compliant with
applicable regulations.
Install an omnipolar mains disconnection device in the
power supply system which provides full disconnec-
tion under category III overvoltage conditions in ac-
cordance with current regulations.
The connection to the power network must be carried
out in accordance with applicable national regulations
and by qualified and authorised personnel.
Before connecting the equipment to the power net-
work, make sure that the network voltage corresponds
to the one indicated on the identification plate (Fig. 12).
Check that the electrical system is adequate to the
maximum absorbed power of the equipment indicated
on the identification plate.
If the power cord of the equipment appears to be
damaged, it should be replaced with another one having
the specifications compliant with the regulations in
force in the country of installation and the replacement
should be made by qualified personnel so as to prevent
any risk to the persons.
The earth conductor must be correctly connected to an
efficient earthing system.
The manufacturing company declines any liability and
any responsibility in terms of warranty if damages to
71503175-0-000
the equipment, persons and things are found, caused
by an incorrect installation and/or an installation which
is not compliant with the laws in force. This device
must be installed in accordance with AS/NZS 3000 in
Australia and New Zealand.

4 COMMISSIONING

See the illustrative figures.
I
Before electrically connecting the machine, make
sure that the network voltage corresponds to the one
indicated in the identification plate placed on the back
of the device (fig. 12).
I
The maximum permitted tolerance on the voltage
variation is of ± 10% of the rated value.
Provide an electrical supply circuit to the machine with
its own main omnipolar switch in order to guarantee an
opening distance of the contacts which allows the full
disconnection under the conditions of the overvoltage
category III.
I
Dimension the circuit according to the amperage
indicated on the identification plate (fig.12). The elec-
trical socket must be easily accessible
• Remove the cover and side panels.
• Check that the compressor is free to oscillate on the
rubber pads placed on the relevant anchor brackets
and check that the blades of the electric fans move
freely.
• Check that the mains water tap is open, then place
the machine's power plug in the socket.
• If the machine is in standby, the illuminated button
(fig. 9) will flash every 30". To exit standby and to fi-
nally start the machine, press the luminous switch for
at least 3 seconds, until the start of the machine is
signalled with a long beep (fig.9).
• For clarifications on what the flashing of the button
means, see the Alarms chapter. Check that the water
flow runs regularly on the evaporator and that there
are no leaks in the circuit.
• Check that no abnormal vibrations are caused
• Check an ice production cycle, making sure that the
block of ice is discharged into the storage bin and that
all the cycle operators occur normally.
• Check that the "microswitch" function is working by lifting
the splash guard deflector up for more than 30 seconds.
• Clean the inside of the water recirculation tray and
the deflector with a sponge dampened with warm wa-
ter plus a little bicarbonate of soda; rinse with clean
water and dry thoroughly.
• Clean the inside of the ice storage bin with a sponge
soaked in warm water mixed with a little bicarbonate of
soda; rinse with clean water and properly dry.
• Re-assemble the panels that were removed beforehand.
• Do not use the first 5 ice cube cycles for human con-
sumption.
