5. Commissioning, operation
The welding sockets shall comply with EHEDG documents doc. 9

and doc. 35. With TIG welding, the surface quality must be R
µm. The weld seams must be free from defects on the wetted and
EN non-wetted contact sides and must be butt welded.
For tank-mounted temperature measuring instruments the tank

cleaning devices shall be positioned in such a way that the instrument
can be assessed and is perfectly cleaned. Avoid spray shadows
during CIP cleaning.
Special instructions for in-line versions
In-line access units (e.g. VARINLINE

in horizontal pipes should be installed with a slight pipe inclination for
self-draining.
With in-line access units (e.g. VARINLINE
■
from the manufacturer and observe their installation instructions.
Specify the insertion length so that the active part of the sensor is
■
placed in the middle of the flow.
Specify the insertion length so that no collision or contact can occur
■
with sensors installed opposite.
5.2 Zero point setting
Zero point setting can be made with a slotted screwdriver or open-ended
spanner at the back of the case, as shown.
