Making Juices

Risk of injury!
Never put your fingers or another object in the Feeding Chute (1) while operating
We recommend that you wash all of the parts with warm water and a mild detergent before you
first use your Green Star™ Elite Juice Extractor
1 Assemble your Green Star™ Elite with the Fine screen (13) or the Coarse screen (18) and the
Outlet Adjusting Knob (for soft fruit) (14b)
2 Place the Drip Tray (23) underneath the Juice Outlet (17) and put the juice pitcher on top of it
3 Position a large bowl or plastic bag under the Pulp outlet (15) to catch the ejected pulp
4 Prepare your vegetables and fruits for juicing and juice them according to the following in-
structions:
Note: it is normal for a few drops of juice to come out of the Pulp outlet (15) when first starting
juicing As you continue juicing, only pulp will come out of the Pulp outlet (15)

Preparation
Preparation: Wash all food and cut into long, thin pieces
that can be easily pushed through the Feeding Chute (1)
Large carrots should be split in half lengthwise
Outlet Adjusting Knob (regular) (14a): Tighten the
juicing knob completely
Juicing Procedure: Feed the ‚wedge' end of the root
through the Feeding Chute (1) first, and press down on the
blunt end of the root with the plastic or Wooden plunger
(22) Only insert one piece at a time
Remember: The Jumbo Twin Gears (12) are not blades -
you will need to firmly push carrots into the slowly rotating
gears Cut thicker carrots into lengthwise halves for easier
juicing The Plastic plunger (9) does not reach all the way to
the gears - try using the Wooden plunger (22) to push that
last bit of carrot for complete juicing
