Using the Juicing Knobs

Outlet Adjusting Knobs hard (14a) or soft (14b)
– With the Fine screen (13) or the Coarse screen (18): Use the Outlet adjusting knob when juicing
vegetables and fruits The juicing knob adjusts how much the pulp is squeezed before it is
pushed out through the Pulp outlet (15) Tightening the knob increases the amount of pressure
that is applied to the vegetables and fruits while extracting juice Loosening the knob decrea-
ses the amount of pressure
• Tighten the knob when juicing firm produce with a lot of body like carrots, crisp apples,
leafy greens, celery, etc
• Loosen or remove the Outlet adjusting knob when juicing softer produce like wheatgrass,
or if you ever notice the processed vegetables and fruits backing up into the Feeding Chute

With the Homogenizing blank (25):
Tighten the Outlet adjusting knob all the way when using the homogenizing screen
Breadstick blank (24)
With the Breadstick blank (24): Use the Breadstick blank (24) with the breadstick screen to make
breadsticks, mochi, sorbets, or other foods where a smoother consistency is desired The Breads-
tick blank (24) shapes your ingredients into a tube as they are pushed through the Pulp outlet (15)

Using the Drip Tray (23)

Using the Drip Tray (23): Simply slide the narrow end of the Drip Tray (23) between the two feet of
the Green Star™ Elite and place the Glass Juice Pitcher (19) on top of the Drip Tray (23) to prevent
messy drips from staining your counter
