e) Diode test (
Make sure all circuit parts, circuits, components, and other objects of measurement
are disconnected from the voltage supply and fully discharged.
The test voltage is approximately 2.2 V.
1. Set the function dial to

3. Connect the test leads to the terminals:
- Red test lead to the
- Black test lead to the COM terminal.
4. Check the lines for continuity by connecting
the two test leads. The value should be ap-
proximately 0.000 V.
5. Connect the test lead probes to the correct
test points on the diode.
- "OL" will appear on the display if the po-
larity is reversed or if the circuit is open.
- The normal PN junction forward voltage
is approx. 500 to 800 mV.
6. When finished measuring, disconnect the
test leads and switch the power OFF.
