­ Der Ventilator kann vertikal oder horizontal montiert werden.
­ Die Ventilatoren können bei Drehzahlregelung durch einen Transformator mit
einer Spannung von 25 % bis 100 % (100 V ­ 400 V) der Nennspannung
betrieben werden. Wird der Transformator in der gleichen Zone wie der
Ventilator installiert, muss er die gleiche ATEX Klassifikation haben.
­ Der Ventilator kann weder elektronisch noch mit Frequenzumrichter geregelt
werden.
­ Die Ventilatoren müssen mit einem allpoligen Netztrennschalter mit mindes­
tens 3 mm Kontaktöffnung angeschlossen sein.
­ Die Kraft/Drehmoment, die von den Rohrleitungen auf das Ventilatorgehäuse
ausgeübt wird, darf 50 N bzw. 5 Nm nicht überschreiten.
EINSATZ BEI RAUMLÜFTUNG
Zur Erreichung der erwarteten Ventilatorleistung ist eine planmäßige Zuluftführung
Voraussetzung. Bei Betrieb von schornstei abhängigen Feuerstellen im entlüf­
teten Raum müssen diesen bei allen Betriebs bedingungen ausreichend Zuluft
zugeführt werden.
LEISTUNGSDATEN
– Elektrische Werte
Das Motor­Typenschild gibt über die elektrischen Werte Auf schluss. Diese sind
auf Übereinstimmung mit den örtlichen Gegebenheiten zu überprüfen.
– Luftförderung
Ventilatorleistungen wurden auf einem Prüfstand entsprechend DIN 24163 er­
mittelt. Sie gelten für die Normalausführung mit ungehinderter Zu­ und Ab strö ­
mung (Gerade Kanalstrecke = 2x Gehäuselänge). Hiervon abweichende Aus­
führungen sowie ungünstige Einbau­ und Betriebsbedingungen können zu einer
Reduzierung der Förderleistung führen.
– Akustik
Die Geräuschangaben beziehen sich ebenfalls auf die vor stehend beschriebene
Anordnung.
Gehäuse vibra tionen, ungünstige Betriebsbedingungen u.a. können zu einer
Erhöhung der angegebenen Werte führen. Geräuschprobleme können durch
die Verwendung eines Schalldämpfers beseitigt werden (siehe Helios Zubehör).
BERÜHRUNGSSCHUTZ
Bei Einbau sind die gültigen Arbeitsschutz­ und Un fall verhütungsvorschriften zu
beachten. Berührungs schutz gemäß DIN EN ISO 13857 ist bauseits sicherzu­
stellen.
Kontakt mit rotierenden Teilen muss verhindert werden. Es ist si cher zu stellen,
dass sich im Ansaug bereich keine Tex tilien (z.B. Vorhänge) oder andere ansaug­
bare Stoffe, (z.B. Kleidung) befinden. Ventilatoren, die durch ihre Einbauweise
(z.B. Einbau in Lüftungskanäle oder geschlossene Aggregate) geschützt sind,
benötigen kein Schutzgitter, wenn die Anlage ausreichende Sicherheit bietet.
Es wird darauf hingewiesen, dass der Installateur und Betreiber für Unfälle infol­
ge fehlender Schutzeinrichtungen haftbar gemacht werden kann.
FÖRDER- UND DREHRICHTUNG
Die Geräte dieser Baureihe haben eine feste Dreh­ und Förderrichtung (kein
Reversierbetrieb möglich), die auf den Geräten durch Pfeile gekennzeichnet ist.
Beim Einbau muss auf die entsprechende Luft-Förder rich tung geachtet
werden.
DREHZAHLREGELUNG
Geräte dieser Baureihe sind mittels Span nungs reduzierung drehzahlsteuer­
bar. Die entsprechenden Drehzahlsteller und Regelgeräte sind den Verkaufs­
unterlagen entnehmbar.
Bei Drehzahlsteuerung darf die maximal zulässige För dermitteltemperatur bei
Regelbetrieb (T ) nicht überschritten werden.

ACHTUNG! Der Einsatz von Fremdfabrikaten kann, v.a. bei elektro-
nischen Geräten, zu Funktionsproblemen, Zerstörung des Reglers und/
oder des Ventilators führen. Bei Einsatz seitens Helios nicht freigegebener
Regel- und Steuergeräte entfallen Garantie und Haftungsansprüche.
MONTAGE
Die Ventilatoren werden serienmäßig als komplette Einheit, d.h. anschlussfertig
geliefert. Sie können in beliebiger Achslage montiert werden. Um ein Ver ziehen
des Ventilatorgehäuses und somit ein Streifen des Laufrades zu verhindern,
muss eine ebene Auflagefläche und stabile Befestigung gegeben sein.
EINBAU
­ Einbau und Wartung gemäß den geltenden nationalen Vorschriften. Für
Mitglieder von CENELEC in den europäischen Ländern sollen die nationalen
Normen bezogen auf EN 60079­14 und EN 60079­17 berücksichtigt werden.
­ Die Ventilatoren können an 400 V / 3 Phasen (Y) oder 230 V / 3 Phasen (D)
– Noise data
The noise data also refers to the above mentioned configuration. Adverse
operating conditions etc. can lead to an increase of the given data. At installation
the sound pressure level can differ considerably from the catalogue data, as it
depends on the installation conditions. Silencers may be used to reduce noise
levels (accessories).
PROTECTION AGAINST ACCIDENTAL CONTACT
When installing observe the valid regulations (DIN EN ISO 13857) for labour
protection and accident prevention.
Avoid contact with rotating parts. Make sure that no textiles (such as curtains) or
other materials which could be sucked in, for instance clothing, are near to the
suction area of the fan.
Depending on installation conditions a contact safety device on the discharge
side may be necessary. Corresponding grilles are available as accessories.
Fans protected by their installation in ventilation channels or enclosed units do
not need a protection grille, if the installation guarantees the same protection
(DIN EN ISO 13857). We emphasize that the installer will be held responsible for
accidents occuring as a result of missing protection devices.
AIR FLOW DIRECTION AND DIRECTION OF ROTATION
The fans have a fixed direction of rotation, i.e. they are not reversible. The
direction is indicated by arrows.
This must be ovserved when installing the fan.
SPEED CONTROL
The performance of all models can be adjusted (reduced) by voltage reduction
through a transformer controller. The suitable controller can be found on the
equivalent catalogue page(s).
The use of a frequency inverter is not permitted. When speed controlled,
the maximum air flow temperature stated for speed controlled fans (T
not be exceeded.

NOTE: The use of other brands, especially other electronic devices,
can lead to malfunctioning and even destruction of controller and/or fan.
Controllers which have not been cleared by Helios are not liable for war-
ranty and guarantee claims.
MOUNTING
The fans are delivered in the standard range as a complete unit, i.e. they are
ready for installation which is possible in any axes. To avoid distortion of the
casing and therefore striping of the impeller, an even fixing plate has to be
provided with sufficient fixing for the unit.
INSTALLATION
­ Installation and maintenance according to the applicable national rules. For
members of CENELEC in European countries should the national standards
based on EN 60079­14 and EN 60079­17 be take into consideration.
­ The fans can be connected 400 V 3­phase (Y) or 230 V 3­phase (D).
­ The cable of the motor must be directly connected to the terminal box (terminal
box delivered as standard and to be mounted on site).
­ Check possible transport damages of the fan.
A damage fan must not be installed in any circumstances.
­ Check the distance between the impeller and inlet cone and the distance
between impeller and the casing of the motor. These distances must be at
least 4 mm.
­ Installation and starting must be made by an authorised electrician according
to directions and requirements. Electrical installation must be made ccording
to EN 60079­14 that complies with the safety requirements of high tension
current.
­ Installation according to wiring diagram.
­ The fan must be grounded.
­ An external motor protection must be installed. The motor protection must
have the similar ATEX classification as the fan.
­ Before starting the fans must be connected to duct or equipped with a safety
grill to preclude contact of moving parts (DIN EN ISO 13857).
­ The fans are only intended for rigid installation.
­ The fans should be installed in a safe way, not risking to fall off, to be expose
for or cause vibrations.
­ The fans must be connected to duct via a flange, if installation cause vibrations.
­ Precautions must be taken to prevent material to fall into the fan, when
vertically mounted. Minimum IP20 < Ø12,5 mm at the inlet side and IP10 <
Ø 50 mm at the outlet side.
­ The fan must be installed according to the air direction label.
­ The fan should be installed in a way that makes service and maintenance
easy.
