The following table will help you to determine and rectify the reasons for possible problems.
Problem
Display: "E1" and
appliance does not
response to the remote
control

Cause
Remote control is not reg-
istered at the instantaneous
water heater
Transmission range exceeded
Registration in process
Flat batteries
Operation via other remote
control, Smart Control app or
directly on the water heater
PIN entered incorrectly
several times
Connection error to the
appliance
Solution
Register again, remove and insert the
batteries again
Place the remote control closer to the
appliance, press button
Hold the remote control in front of the
instantaneous water heater
Insert two new type AAA-batteries
Only register the desired remote control
Wait a few minutes until the display "P1"
appears and enter the correct PIN
If this happens repeatedly, replace the
batteries, contact customer service
