10 Commissioning

If exhaust air units have an overrun timer (6 or
15 minutes), the timer can be set in service mode
on the RLS or with the commissioning software.
Be sure to observe the information in the
connection diagram and the number of units
set in service mode.
The operation of exhaust air units with
sensor-controlled, automatic start-up is not
detected by the RLS.
Connecting components
WARNING Danger of electric shock if in-
correctly connected to the 230 V input of the
control.
Ensure a phase balance between all components
connected to the ventilation system.
1. Install additional components (buttons,
switches, exhaust air units etc.) and wire up
electrics → Associated instructions.
2. Take room air control out of flush-mounted
box and wire connection cable of additional
components to RLS 45 K according to con-
nection diagrams.
3. Insert room air control in the flush-mounted
box and screw down to flush-mounted box
with 4 screws.
4. Fit front panel. Make sure it locks into position.
When using PP 45 HYI sensors, ensure that
sensor opening (hole in front panel) is above
the sensor.
5. Start up [} 47] ventilation system, switch
sensor to active → Installation instructions for
final installation kit, service mode or start up
[} 47].
10 Commissioning
Put the ventilation units into operation as de-
scribed below.
Then, register the components connected to the
controls in service mode and, if necessary, activ-
ate the Modbus interface. With radio-controlled
units, activate the EnOcean or Modbus interface.
For information about the service mode paramet-
ers → Installation instructions for PP 45 or PPB
30 final installation kit.
When using the RLS 45 K control, use the com-
missioning software [} 50].
10.1 Commissioning pre-require-
ments
Commissioning is only permitted if:
• the building is ready for occupancy.
• all connection cables are correctly fitted and se-
cure.
• all protective materials are removed.
• all ventilation units and room air controls are
correctly installed.
10.2 Commissioning ventilation sys-
tem
1. Ensure that all ventilation units, room air con-
trols and system components are correctly
connected in accordance with the wiring dia-
gram in the appendix.

on. The ventilation units start up in ventilation
level 2 and heat recovery operating mode.
3. Call up service mode [} 42] or commissioning
software [} 50] and undertake the parameter
settings.
4. Finish by performing a function test:
• Test operation and operating modes.
• Test ventilation levels and off-function.
• Test the EnOcean functions for the radio-
controlled units.
• Test LEDs on the room air controls or the ra-
