6. Operation

DANGER! Risk of injury from
cutting!
Never reach into the rotating blades.
Do not touch rotating parts with spoons
or similar utensils. Keep long hair or
loose clothing away from rotating parts
as well.
Only switch on the device when the
blender 3 is immersed in the foodstuff.
The blade continues to rotate after the
device is switched off. Wait until the
blender 3 stops moving before you take
it out of the food.
WARNING!
The device is designed for a maximum
operating time of 1 minute without inter-
ruption (see "Operating time" on
page 17).
In order to prevent damage to the de-
vice, interrupt the blending process im-
mediately if the blade is either turning
with difficulty or not turning at all. Pull
out the mains plug 1 and check whether
there is something in the bowl blocking
movement or whether the food is too
tough. Also check whether the device is
assembled correctly.

6.1 Operating time

We recommend the following operating
times:
- up to 1 minute continuously, then a
2-minute break

6.2 Control element

• Hold down the power button 4 during
the blending process.
• Release the power button 4 to switch
the device off.

6.3 Application area

The hand blender 3 is ideal for puréeing
cooked fruit and vegetables and for mixing
drinks, soups, sauces, etc. and for making
milkshakes.
Do not use the hand blender 3 for especially
hard food, e.g. ice cubes or nuts.
NOTE: before puréeing, ensure that there is
a sufficient amount of liquid in the container!
1. Cut the cooked fruit and vegetables into
small pieces.
2. Fill food into a suitable container.
3. Immerse the hand blender into the food
to be blended.
4. Connect the mains plug 1 with the wall
socket.
5. For puréeing, hold down the power but-
ton 4.
6. Move the hand blender 3 up and down
a bit in the food, to ensure that it is
blended evenly.
7. When you are finished, release the
power button 4.
8. After the blending process, wait until the
blade comes to a standstill, pull out the
mains plug 1 and take the hand blend-
er 3 out of the food.
9. Clean the device immediately if possi-
ble.
NOTE: if the hand blender 3 builds up suc-
tion and adheres to the bottom of the con-
tainer, briefly release the power button 4.
