5. Centering of the Control Surface
When the transmitter is switched on and the flight battery is connected to the controller (and installed in the battery box), it is now possible
to connect the control wires to the rudder and treble control surfaces and to center the surfaces accordingly.
First, be sure to center the elevator and aileron trim levers.
With the trim levers centered, carefully loosen both clevises (the white plastic pieces that are on the threaded hole of the metal pushrod) so
that you can insert the pin into the outermost hole of each control horn. It may be helpful to insert a flat-head screwdriver (not included)
into the clevis and turn it carefully to release the pin from the clevis. It is not necessary to snap the clevis back together after the centering
adjustments have been made.
After connecting both clevises with the control horns, take a straight look from above onto the rudder. It should be in line with the tailplane.
If the rudder tilts left or right, you can adjust the position of the clevis / pushrod to center it while the trim lever remains centered.
