2. Children shall not play with the appliance.
3. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed
by children, unless they are older than 8 years and are
supervised.
4. Keep the appliance and the power cord out of the reach
of children under 8 years.
5. Connect appliance only to an AC power supply with volt-
age corresponding to the voltage on the rating plate.
6. Do not operate this appliance with an external timer or
remote control system.
7. Never immerse the appliance or the power cord in water
or other liquids.
8. The base should never come into contact with water
or other liquids. In case this ever happens, it must be
completely dry before operating the appliance again.
9. Do not clean the electric kettle or the base in a dish-
washer.
10. Never touch the appliance or power cord with wet
hands.

staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working

14. Always use the electric kettle on a level, uncluttered
and heat-resistant surface.
