Use of the stand in horizontal position

The OPTIGEM microscope stand can easily be tilted in order to
observe objects in a horizontal position.
1. Loosen the head fixing knob (Fig. 2) and rotate the head by
180°.
2. Fix the screw again.
3. Loosen the stand tilting knob ① (Fig. 20) and rotate the stand
by 180° (make sure that the power cable has not been twist-
ed too many turns around the base).
4. Lean the stand backwards until it gets stopped by the support
② and the microscope is in the position of figure 21.
