SAV 531.42
3 TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
DANGER!
During the life cycle of the battery, the maximum state of charge (capacity) is reduced through operation. This is not
a fault, but a natural phenomenon.
A cold environment reduces the capacity and the service life of the battery.
3.9

Remote control battery

The battery for the remote control has a rated voltage of 9 V. If the voltage drops below 7.3 V, the signal range can
be reduced (a range of 5 m is ensured as a standard).
A signal can be sent even if the battery voltage drops below 6 V, but only with a minimum range.
When replacing the battery, the new battery has to have a higher voltage than 8.3 V, as otherwise the low battery
voltage warning cannot be removed.
A work environment with visibility reduced by dust or smoke can reduce the range of the signal sent by the remote
control.
3.10

Wear of the lifting magnet

Correct use and maintenance provided, the service life of the lifting magnet depends on the component wear.
The permissible wear on the lifting eye (due to wear or depressions from the hook or load attachment gear) is
max. 10 % of the original dimension.
Safety switch below the lifting eye (safety function to prevent unwanted deactivation while the load is lifted).
Active surfaces of the lifting magnet – permissible damage up to max. 10 % of the surface area.
Condition of the power supply battery
DANGER!
Version 1.0
Hazard from voltage drop in the battery!
If the battery voltage drops below 8 V, the lifting magnet is switched off
automatically to protect the battery against deep discharge and permanent
damage.
Operating the lifting magnet with a weak battery (refer to the state of
charge display on the front panel) can result in the load falling cause severe
injuries including death.
Check the state of charge of the lifting magnet battery before operation.
Never leave the activated lifting magnet with load unattended.
If a warning for low battery capacity is output, terminate the handling
process as soon as possible (within 2 minutes) and charge the battery –
see section 8.2.2.
Hazard due to wear!
Wear can affect the power and/or safety of the lifting magnet!
Operating a worn lifting magnet can cause malfunctions of the magnet,
in particular falling of the magnet, and as a consequence severe injuries
including death.
Regularly check the lifting magnet for wear (see section 8.1)! Replace worn
parts or decommission the lifting magnet!
