Safety guidelines for battery
chargers
This appliance may be used by

children aged 8 years and above
and by persons with limited physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or
lack of experience and knowledge,
provided that they are under super
vision or have been told how to use
the appliance safely and are aware
of the potential risks . Do not allow
children to use the appliance as a
plaything . Cleaning and user main
tenance tasks may not be carried
out by children unless they are
supervised .
To avoid potential risks, if the mains

cable of this appliance is damaged,
it must be replaced by the manufac
turer, or its customer service depart
ment or a similarly qualified person .
The charger is suitable
for indoor use only .

This charger can only charge the following
batteries: PAP 20 A1/PAP 20 A2/
PAP 20 A3/PAP 20 B1/PAP 20 B3 .

Before use
Charging the battery pack (see fig . A)
CAUTION!

Always disconnect the mains plug before
removing the battery pack 8 from or
inserting it into the charger .
NOTE
►
Never charge the battery pack at an ambient
temperature of below 10°C or above 40°C .
If a lithiumion battery is to be stored for an
extended period, the charge level must be
checked regularly . The optimum charge level
is between 50% and 80% . The storage climate
should be cool and dry and the ambient
temperature should be between 0°C and
50°C .

Insert the battery pack 8 into the highspeed
charger e (see fig . A) .
♦
Insert the power plug into the socket . The green
charge control LED t lights up briefly, then the
red charge control LED r lights up .
♦
The green control LED t indicates that charging
is complete and the battery pack 8 is ready for
use .

Insert the battery pack 8 into the appliance
(see fig . B) .
Inserting/removing the battery pack
Inserting the battery pack:
♦
Set the rotation direction switch 3 to the
middle position (lock, see fig . C) . Slide the
battery pack 8 into the handle until it engages
(see fig . B) .
Removing the battery pack:
♦
Press the release button 9 and remove the
battery pack 8 (see fig . D) .
