Installing the sanding belt table (fig. 5)
• Push the disc sanding table (3) with the lugs into the
recess on the machine and push the table upwards
until the holes match and fasten it with the clamping
screws (b) and washers (c) on both sides.
Installing the suction system (fig. 6)
• Mount the suction nozzle (10) on the machine with
the Phillips screws (d) and washers (e).
Fitting the rubber wheels (fig. 7)
• Mount the 4 rubber feet on the base plate.
Attention! If the machine shows a tendency to move or
tilt while working, the machine must be fixed to the work
surface with four screws (not included in the scope of
delivery).
Use as a stationary machine
If your machine is to be used in a permanent location, it
is recommended you secure it to a workbench.
• To do this, mark the drill holes by placing the grinding
machine in the way it will be installed later and now draw
the position of the holes to be drilled on the workbench.
• Drill holes through the workbench.
• Place the sander above the holes and insert suitable
screws from the top through the holes of the sander
and the workbench.
• Now fasten the sander from the underside of the
workbench using lock washers and matching hex-
agonal nuts.
Use as a mobile machine
If your belt and disc sander is to be used as a porta-
ble tool, it is recommended you fasten it to a suitable
mounting plate which can easily be clamped to a work-
bench. The mounting plate should be at least 19 mm
thick and sufficiently larger than the sander to allow
space for the clamps.

10. Start up

m ATTENTION!
Always make sure the device is fully assembled
before commissioning!
Adjusting the sanding belt (fig. 8)
• The belt has already been fitted in the factory.
• It must run correctly in the center of the rollers.
• The belt can be adjusted by turning the adjusting
screw (9) to the left or right.
Adjusting the sanding belt table (fig. 9)
In most cases, the table is used at 90° to the sanding belt.
The table has an adjustment screw in order to place the
table exactly at 90 ° to the belt. The setting is carried
out as follows:
• Loosen the table using the clamping lever (f) and lift
it back as far as possible.
• Place an 90° angle on the table and let the other side
rest against the belt.
• If the angle is not 90°, adjust the screw (i) with the Allen
key (h) until the table is placed exactly 90° to the belt.
• The table can be tilted forward.
• Loosen the clamping lever (f), tilt the table to the
desired angle and tighten the clamping lever again.
Adjusting the sanding belt table (fig. 10)
• To ensure that the table is at 90° to the sanding
plate, place a cutting gauge on the table and against
the plate.
• If readjustment is required, loosen the two clamping
screws (6) and change the position until 90° is reached.
• Re-tighten the clamping screw (6).
• The table can be tilted downwards by up to 45°.
Sanding a convex surface on the sanding plate:
Please always use a sanding plate when sanding a
convex surface. The workpiece must be pushed from
the left to the center of the plate.
• Hold the workpiece firmly. Make sure that your fin-
gers do not touch the sanding belt.
• Apply firm pressure to the workpiece against the
sanding plate. Slide the workpiece on the left side
so that you use the entire surface of the sanding
plate uniformly.
Grinding chamfers and edges (fig. 11)
The worktable can be infinitely adjusted from 0 ° to 45 °.
• To do so, loosen the clamping screw (6).
• Set the worktable to the desired angle. Attention!
Never position the worktable further than 2 mm from
the sanding disc!
• Re-tighten the clamping screw (6).
Sanding small end surfaces using the cutting
gauge (fig. 12 + 13)
The supplied cutting gauge (12) makes precise sanding
easier. The use of a transverse stop is recommended
for sanding small end surfaces.
