I.4.5
STATUS INDICATOR LEDS
Defrost LED (Green):
enabled only on reversible machines (CMR/E heat-pumps), indicates
that these machines are in defrosting mode. When the LED flashes, it
indicates that the machine is in the defrosting timer delay; when it
remains illuminated, it indicates that the defrosting cycle has started.
I.4.6
ALARM SIGNALS
IMPORTANT!
Malfunctions and alarms indicated by the machine
must NOT be ignored, but must be identified and
reset as soon as possible.
If the alarm recurs, call Technical Assistance.
If an alarm is tripped, it is indicated by the LEDs lighting up, as shown
on the table below.
In the case of a manually-reset alarm, check which alarm has been
tripped with the aid of the table below: once the malfunction is
identified, carry out the following procedure:
• reset the alarm by switching the board off and on again;
• check that the unit will restart;
• if the alarm recurs, call Technical Assistance.

TYPE AND FREQUENCY OF SCHEDULED
CHECKS
IMPORTANT!
Maintenance work must only be carried out by
qualified technicians trained to work on air-
conditioning and refrigeration systems.
DANGER
Always use the isolating switch fitted on the mains
side of the supply cables to disconnect the unit
from the mains before carrying out any
maintenance work on the appliance, even if it is
only an inspection.
To guarantee the unit runs regularly and efficiently, it is necessary to
schedule an overall inspection at regular intervals to prevent
malfunctions which could damage the main machine components (see
SECTION II: INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE).
EVERY 6 MONTHS
• Check the refrigerant charge.
• Check there are no gas leaks.
• Check power absorption.
• Check the contactors on the control board.
• Check the operation of the high and low pressure switches.
END OF SEASON with unit switched off
• Check the condition of the heat exchanger on the air side
• Inspect and, if necessary, tighten the electrical contacts and
terminals.
• Check that the condensate drain line is unobstructed (only for
CMR/E).
I.5.1
LONG-TERM SHUTDOWN
When the appliance is not used for long periods of time, disconnect the
unit by opening the automatic isolator switch.
I.5.2
DAILY SHUTDOWN
To put the machine to rest at the end of the day, it is sufficient to
deactivate the unit by means of the room thermostat.
I.5.3
START UP AFTER PROLONGED SHUTDOWN
Before startup, check that the heat exchanger on the air side is clean
and the airways through it are clear.
