First aid measures
DANGER!
Adhere scrupulously to the warnings and first aid
procedures indicated below.
• Inhalation
Move the injured person away from the exposure area, keep him warm
and let him rest. Administer oxygen if necessary. Attempt artificial
respiration if breathing has stopped or shows signs of stopping. . If the
heart stops, perform external heart massage. Seek medical assistance.
• Contact with skin
In case of contact with skin, wash immediately with lukewarm water.
Thaw tissue using water. Remove contaminated clothing. Clothing may
stick to the skin in case of frostbite. If irritation, swelling or blisters
appear, seek medical assistance.
• Contact with eyes
Rinse immediately using an eyewash or clean water, keeping eyelids
open, for at least ten minutes. Seek medical assistance.
• Ingestion
Do not induce vomiting. If the injured person is conscious, rinse his/her
mouth with water and make him/her drink 200-300 ml of water.
Seek immediate medical assistance.
• Further medical treatment
Treat symptoms and carry out support therapy as indicated. Do not
administer adrenaline or similar sympathomimetic drugs following
exposition, due to the risk of cardiac arrhythmia.

AND IRREMOVABLE HAZARDS

Pay the utmost attention to the signs and symbols
located on the appliance.
If any risks remain in spite of the provisions adopted, or if there are any
potential or hidden risks, these are indicated by adhesive labels
attached to the machine in compliance with standard "ISO 7000".

SPARE PARTS AND ACCESSORIES
IMPORTANT!
Only use original spare parts and accessories.
RHOSS S.p.A. shall not be held liable for damage
caused by tampering or work carried out by
unauthorised personnel or malfunctions caused by
the use of non-original spare parts or accessories.
KSA - rubber antivibration mountings
KFI - Proportional electronic device kit for constant adjustment of fan
rotation speed down to outside air temperatures of -10°C (CMA/E only).
The description and assembly instructions are supplied with each
accessory.
I.3
DESCRIPTION OF CONTROLS
The controls consist of the user interface terminal board, which is on the
right-hand side of the machine, behind a removable weatherproof
cover. To get access to the terminal board and control panel, remove
the weatherproof cover by (held on by four screws) and open the
protective box by undoing the four screws which keep it closed.

LED STATUS SIGNALS

• HP –High pressure alarm LED;
• LP – Low pressure /fan thermal alarm LED;
• DEFROST – defrost LED;
• ST3/ID – Sensor/input alarm LED;
○ LED's
• (HP) HIGH PRESSURE ALARM LED (RED)
On: High pressure switch activated;
Flashing: indicates that the pressure switch has reset automatically;
• (LP) LOW PRESSURE /FAN THERMAL ALARM LED (RED)
On: Indicates that the low pressure switch or the fan thermal protection
switch has been activated;
Flashing: indicates that the pressure switch (or the thermal protection
switch) has reset automatically three times;
• DEFROST LED (GREEN). Active only on CMR/E
On: Indicates that the unit is in defrost mode;
Flashing: Indicates that the unit is preparing to go into defrost mode;
• (ST3/ID) SENSOR/INPUT ALARM LED (RED). Active only on
CMR/E:
On: Indicates that the outdoor coil sensor is faulty or missing;
Flashing: Indicates that inputs for summer and winter are active at the
same time.
I.4
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
The unit is controlled from a remote position and operates in
response to the type of evaporating equipment connected to it. A
room thermostat is used in most applications.
IMPORTANT!
Any other operation must be carried out by
qualified personnel authorised by RHOSS.
I.4.1
POWER SUPPLY TO THE UNIT
The unit is powered from the automatic main switch fitted on the mains
side of the supply cable (this switch must be fitted by the installer at the
time of installation).Use the automatic switch to isolate the unit from the
mains.
I.4.2
START-UP
Several hours before starting (at least 12), switch on the power to the
unit in order to supply the electrical heaters to heat up the compressor
crankcase. Each time the unit starts up the crankcase heater switches
off automatically. For all models, start-up is controlled from a remote
position (room thermostat). The mechanism starts after the timer delay
preset at the electronic regulator.
I.4.3
CHANGING THE FUNCTION MODE (CMR/E
ONLY)
To change the operating mode (cooling/heat pump) use the selector
fitted on the plant by the installer at the time of installation.
I.4.4
STOPPING THE UNIT
Daily shutdown can be controlled from a remote position (room
thermostat. In this way, power supply is maintained to the compressor
crankcase heating elements.
