4.5 Cold meter installation (optional)

Procedure:
1. Close all shut-off valves (primary circuit) "A" in the unit (ball valves are an optional acces-
sory).
2. Lower the system pressure by opening the drainage devices "B".
3. Release the screw fittings on adaptor "C".
WARNING: media may leak from the system. (The unit can be drained using the boiler fill and
drain ball valves provided.)
4. Remove the adaptor and insert the cold water meter and screw in place. NOTE: Bear in mind
the direction of flow. (Do not forget the seals)
5. Remove the 1/2" plug at "D" and screw in and seal the cold meter flow line sensor.
6. Once the work is complete, use the (customer's) bleeding devices to re-open the shut-off val-
ves and system. Perform a leak-tightness check.

Note:
If a cold meter and cabling are planned, the factory-installed

single-cable feed through must be replaced with a two-cable
feed through by a specialist.
Then the cable for the power supply and the cable for the

M-Bus signal, if required, can be guided through the housing
separately.
Afterwards, check the connection is tight so that no moistu-
•
re can penetrate the housing!
