Work instructions

Risk of injury! Work only with solid shoes with toe protection
cap (safety shoes).
The vibratory plate is equipped with a centrifugal clutch which
ensures that the gearbox starts to turn at increasing rotational
speed.
Make sure that the motor always works at full throttle. If the
motor runs at lower speeds, this reduces the compacting force
and travel speed. This may result in excess wear of the machine.
Switch off the motor immediately if the device vibrates
unusually strong or is unusually loud. Check the device.
The vibratory plate moves forward on its own during operation.
Exerting pressure on the handle on level terrain is not necessary.
You can steer the device by moving the handle slightly to the left or
right.
Slightly push the vibratory plate forward on uneven terrain or slight
inclines.
Working on slopes
Be sure to use this machine only on slopes with a gradient
<10°.
 Fill the fuel tank only up to half its capacity.
 When working on a slope, move first uphill.
Never work partially or fully perpendicular to the slope.
 Be careful when changing the direction!
 Reduce the speed on sloped surfaces by pulling the handle
toward yourself.
Depending on the condition of the ground, you will need 3-4
passes for optimal compacting.
Although a certain amount of moisture is required in the ground,
excessive moisture prevents good compacting. Allow the
ground to dry before compacting if it is very wet.
When using the vibratory plate on asphalt, a water sprinkler
device must be used to prevent the base plate from sticking to
the surface of the hot asphalt.
Use a rubber mat when compacting paving stones, concrete
slabs or similar.
If the ground is dry enough for dust to develop during work,
some moisture should be added to improve compacting. This
also prevents the air filter from clogging too quickly.
Observe all safety instructions in any case.

Start of work

Start the device as described in the chapter "Operation" of the
motor operating instructions.
Slowly move the throttle lever to the H position after the motor has
warmed up a bit.
The vibratory plate begins vibrating and moves forward.

Maintenance and cleaning

Before each maintenance and cleaning work
 Stop the engine and allow it to cool down.
 Remove the spark plug connector.
 Wear protective gloves in order to avoid injury to
the hands.
 Do not carry out maintenance work close to open
flames. Risk of fire.
Maintenance and repair work other than those described in this
chapter is only allowed to be carried out by service staff.
Safety devices removed for maintenance must be unconditionally
mounted properly and checked again.
Only use genuine spare parts. Other than genuine parts may result in
unpredictable damages and injury.

Maintenance

To guarantee a long and reliable usage of the product carry out the
following maintainance work regularly.
Check the device for obvious defects such as
 loose fastening elements
 worn or damaged components
 incorrectly assembled and faulty covers and protective devices.
 leaks from the fuel tank cap or fuel lines.
Necessary repair work or maintainance have to be carried out
before using the machine.

Check the V-belt

Check the V-belt first after 20 hours of operation and then every
50 hours of operation.
Remove the belt cover (22).
Check the V-belt for cracks, fraying or wear
Replace V-belts that are damaged or too long without
delay.
Check the V-belt tension
The V-belt tension is correct if it can be pressed down by
approx. 10 mm

Tensioning the V-belt

Loosen the four screws on the engine (1).
Unscrew the lock nuts (B) and Tighten the V-belt (22) with the
screws (23)
Make sure the belt pulleys of the clutch (26) and eccen-
tric (27) are aligned.

Replacing the V-belt

Loosen the four screws on the engine (1).
Loosen the lock nuts (B) and the screws (23).
 Move the engine so that the V-belt can be removed without
any problems
 Place a new V-belt Legen Sie den neuen Keilriemen (23)
auf.
Tension the V-belt by moving the engine so that you can press
down the V-belt by 10mm
