21.0 - MAINTENANCE

The maintenance intervals listed below are guidelines for conditions of normal use.
In the case of more demanding working conditions due to environment or seasonal
factors, the frequency of maintenance operations must be increased accordingly.
Always carry out maintenance operations in accordance with the safety
regulations set out in point 8.0.
21.1 - Check the ploughshare (fig. 12A), discs (fig. 12B), sieve (fig. 12C) and wheels
(fig. 12D) and keep them clean of any residues of soil or other dirt.
21.2 - Every 8 working hours
-grease the cardan shaft
21.3 - Every 40 working hours
-grease the transmission shaft bearings (fig. 12E);
-grease the wheel bushings (fig. 12D);
-check that the screws are tight, paying special attention to the connecting rods
which move the sieve;
-check that all the elastic bushings (fig. 12E) are in good condition.
21.4 - Every 100 working hours:
-check the oil level in the reduction gear (fig. 12B) (for SP.50 only) and top up if
necessary with SAE 80/90 oil.
21.5 - Temporary disuse
If the machine is to be left unused temporarily (more than 3 - 4 days), oil the
ploughshare and discs so as to prevent rust from forming.
