Installation Procedures
CAUTION:
• The unit should be adequately grounded. The grounding should not be connected to the gas pipe, water pipe, or\
telephone line. Poor grounding will cause electric shocks.
• Do install a leakage breaker to avoid electric shocks.
• Arrange the water drainage in accordance to this Manual. Cover the pipe with insulation materials so as to avoid
condensation. Improper installation of water drainage will cause water leakage and your furniture could get
damaged.
• In order to maintain a quiet environment, install the unit at least 1 m away from the T.V. and radio, and while
connecting the wires and the power line. (If the radio wave is relatively strong, 1 m is not enough to reduce the noise).
• Don't the install unit in the following locations:
(a) Places where oil mist or oil gas exists, such as kitchen so as to avoid the
plastic parts from getting damaged.
(b) Places where there is corrosive gas. Copper tubes and welded part may
could get damaged due to corrosion, and cause leakage.
(c) Places with strong radiation because radiation affects the unit's control
system, causing malfunction of the unit.
(d) Where there are flammable gases, dirt, and volatile matter (thinner, gasoline)
in the environment because these substances could cause fire accidents.
• Refer to paper pattern when installing unit.
Cautionary steps for the installation personnel
Don't fail to show the customers how to operate the unit.
BEFORE INSTALLATION Don't discard any accessories until completion.
• Determine a safe way to carry the unit to the installation destination.
• Don't remove the packing unit before reaching the destination.
• If unpacking is unavoidable, protect the unit properly.
SELECTION OF INSTALLATION location
Installation location should meet the following criteria and should be agreed upon by the customers:
• A location where proper air flow can be ensured.
• Water drainage can be easily routed.
• Place strong enough to support the unit's weight.
• A location where the ceiling is not visibly inclined.
• A place that has ample space for maintenance.
• Indoor and outdoor unit piping length is within the limit. (Refer to Installation Manual for outdoor unit).
• power cable, inter unit cable are at least 1 m away from the T.V. and radio. This is helpful to avoid picture
disturbance and noise. (Even if 1 m distance is kept, noise can still be heard if the radio wave is strong).
